ASCEND is a composite cladding by Alside that combines the high-end look of real wood with the strength and performance of engineered composite materials, which sets it apart from standard vinyl siding such as our 4000 Series siding. Where conventional vinyl is a single-layer product, ASCEND is built with glass fibers for added strength and stability, titanium dioxide to protect against UV degradation, weatherable pigments that resist fading even on dark colors, impact modifiers that help resist dents and dings, and flame retardants that slow the spread of smoke and flames. It is also water-resistant, helping prevent rotting, warping, shrinking, and swelling.

ASCEND composite cladding comes in two profiles — 7-inch planks and 12-inch board & batten — and a palette of 20 on-trend colors. The plank profile is offered in a Cedar Mill Grain texture, while the board & batten profile is available in a matte or woodgrain texture, so you can combine horizontal and vertical looks across different areas of the home. Color choices span clean neutrals such as Glacier White and Almond, warm earth tones like Canyon Drift and Monterey Sand, deep accents such as Cast Iron, Fired Brick, and Rustic Timber, greens like Deep Moss and Mountain Fern, and blues including Harbor Blue, Laguna Blue, and Midnight Blue. Because screen settings affect color accuracy, the best step is to review physical samples — you can also preview combinations on your own home with our design Visualizer, or compare the full siding lineup.
